Wow was this book just kind of OKAY. As a student, this book was easily read and understood but was also frustrating with how long it would take to explain things. Some chapters could be cut in half if all the foo foo was taken out.Pros:Chapters were organized nicely, set the student up well for learningHad a lot of great boxes and summaries at the end of each chapterComprehensiveCons:Sometimes a little TOO comprehensive.... I felt like there were things that the book explained too well and important things that were explained very vaguely. My professor felt the need to give us endless handouts because some of the information was insufficient.Online resources- ONE BIG JOKE. Not worth the work of setting up and account.Hard back and absolutely huge. Probably one of the bigger text books I've had to get.

What's the point of an index with no relevant words or topics? In order to find what you're looking for, you need to embark on an extended journey, filled with barriers, tangents, and unrelated scribblings. Seriously, if you're gonna charge an arm and a leg for a textbook, fix the index.
The book is much easier to read than many of the other nursing books I have read during my schooling. It is incredibly repetitive in that it states the same information about three times (twice in charts or tables and once in text) and, as is to be expected has a lot of fluff rather than being straight to the point.
this text is well laid out, gives great examples and pictures of the identified diagnoses. It's clear and follows a reasonable flow of childhood congenital and acquired syndromes and illnesses.
I loved the amount I paid plus the scratch-off code was still available for use.
Book was new as stated. Still had code on inside. Fast shipping. Would purchase from this seller again.
